We have all the essentials that you need to feel right at home as well as a few extras designed to make your stay even more enjoyable and hassle-free.
Communal Kitchen
Our communal kitchen gives you the chance to stay on a self-catering basis and cook for yourself, and since this area is fully equipped, there’s no reason to wage war with another guest over a single rusty spoon. The hot water is always bubbling for your complimentary tea and coffee, and the fridge has plenty of space to keep your groceries cold.
Breakfast
If you’d rather not spend your holiday sweating over the stove, book our daily breakfast. We serve up a typical English spread, and Barry whips up his famous Dutch pancakes from time to time. Ask about menus and prices at reception.
Grocery Shopping/Ordering In
Two of the country’s foremost grocery stores, Spar and Woolworths, are only an 800m walk away at the Paddocks Shopping Centre. Similarly, the area has countless restaurants that readily deliver if you’d like to order in.
Braai/Barbeque
Our brilliant poolside braai (barbeque) facilities are nearly always available for use. And during the hot summer months, we usually fire up the coals and hold a traditional South African ‘tjop en dop’, which means you bring your own meat to put on the fire and your own drinks – and we’ll do the cooking.
Garden & Pool
Take a great escape from your busy holiday itinerary and chill out with a book in our lovely garden or take a dip on a hot summer day in our solar-heated salt water swimming pool. Both are great places to see out the afternoon.
Internet
Stay connected thanks to our free unlimited Wi-fi! You can share your adventures in Cape Town with friends, family and the rest of the world from beside the pool or out in the garden.
Laundry Service
You are on holiday after all. Leave the washing/drying/ironing to us. Simply drop you clothes at reception and let us know what you’d like done. Do note, there is an extra fee for all of the aforementioned services.
Parking
We have a limited secure and free off-street parking area. If this area is full, there will be plenty of parking space on the street (at the end of our cul-de-sac).
Safe
A communal safe is provided if you want to keep your valuables secure.
Storage
We can gladly store your things for you if you need to check-out early in the day but your flight is not until later in the evening. We also can stow away hefty sports gear at no extra charge. Please note that we are not liable in the event of something going missing or being damaged.
Airport/Cape Town City Transfers
Need a lift? No problem! We can gladly arrange pick-up/drop-off from/to the Cape Town International Airport as well as from/to Cape Town central at an extra charge. Not to mention, if you’d like to try out the new MyCiTi bus, there is a stop just around the corner (Race Course Road), and we can drop you and pick you up from here for free.
Rental Cars/Tours/Wildlife Excursions
Let us help you make your time in beautiful Cape Town unforgettable. Our in-house travel centre can do everything from arranging basics, like car rental, to booking those off-the-radar experiences, like a Cape Malay cooking tour.
Charity Bin
For many of our guests, it is the end of the road and their last stop before heading home, so they often have clothes that they don’t wish to take back with them (sometimes it can also be a matter of unloading some things to make room for all those great Cape Town souvenirs). All donations made to our charity bin are gratefully received by various charities in need.
